Mentoring

Experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and industry professionals provide invaluable guidance to UO startups and researchers commercializing their innovations. Mentorship programs at the UO provide specialized support across our diverse community for students and faculty, no matter their interests.

Professionals interested in mentoring

We seek advisors with experience in the areas startups and faculty researchers need most: business development and sales strategy, fundraising and financial planning, regulatory navigation, operations and scaling, technical commercialization, and industry-specific expertise. Your guidance helps entrepreneurs avoid common pitfalls and make smarter decisions faster.

We encourage you to explore a mentorship program that meets your expertise where it can be most valuable.

Launch Oregon is the premier program for bringing UO research to the market, providing connections to partner networks, identifying mentors for startups emerging from UO, and helping to secure funding.

The Lundquist College of Business is home to the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship and the Oregon Innovation Challenge. Learn more about the ways they engage with alumni and industry, or sign up to share your expertise through their webform.

For mentorship that reaches every corner of the UO community, we encourage you to learn how to get involved through the Provost’s Mentorship programs.

Students seeking mentorship

We are here to help you navigate the next step in your journey, whether you are just getting started or already on your way consider joining the Oregon Innovation Challenge and connecting to resources at the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship (LCB).

To build your network and browse opportunities for your next step, register through Handshake, a platform that curates jobs, experiential learning, and events, or Lundquist Connect, a networking site for LCB students and alumni.
