The Center for Advanced Material Characterization in Oregon (CAMCOR)

The Center for Advanced Material Characterization in Oregon (CAMCOR) is a trusted industry partner for materials characterization—and just one of many research facilities that demonstrate the value of a UO partnership. 

With advanced instrumentation, including a brand new scanning transmission electron microscope (S/TEM), CAMCOR delivers detailed insights into the structure and properties of material and failure modes that inform development decisions. 

Testing services customers benefit from a streamlined process that offers a pre-negotiated agreement and transparent rates. CAMCOR also strengthens long-term partnerships through hands-on workforce training. 

Additionally, this facility embraces a culture of practical innovation, as illustrated by Noble Dome, a sample transfer system that enables researchers to move sensitive samples directly into a microscope’s vacuum chamber without the risk of air exposure.
